…Whilst the subject is before us, we take the opportunity to state, that a most respectable clergyman, of this town, a few days since, put into our hands, a letter, which we conceive we may publish without any breech of confidence. The following is a copy and we shall not fail to forward this day's Kaleidoscope to the address of the reverend writer:

Sir,—I understand that there is a society formed at Liverpool for preventing cruelty to animals. I should esteem myself infinitely obliged if you would favour me with some particulars respecting it; or, if any rules (as probably is the case) have been drawn up, for the management of the institution, I should be happy to have them forwarded to me, either by letter or by the coach. I beg to apologize for giving you this trouble; but, as I am nto acquainted with any individual at present at Liverpool, I am under the necessity of applying to a brother clergyman, in this manner, for the information which I want.
